Education Advisor

We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide technical oversight and guidance to the project on evidence-based curricular and instructional approaches and strategies to improve learning outcomes, including reading, math, and social and emotional support 
  • Oversee the collection and use of performance data that measures the effectiveness of the education system in improving early grade learning 
  • Liaise with subcontractors and staff to ensure the timely production of program-supported teaching and learning materials, early grade learning products and other supplemental materials
  • Interface with government stakeholders at various levels to interpret collected data and to troubleshoot technical issues  
  • Collaborate with other technical leads to achieve project outcomes 

Qualifications: 

  • Advanced degree in education required; focus on education policy and/or management preferred 
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in early grade education; data-driven programmatic experience to improve early grade learning is required  
  • Previous experience working effectively with government counterparts, local organizations, and the private sector  
  • Record of building the capacity of government and private counterparts  
  • Proven knowledge of Nepal’s education system is strongly preferred
