Keelabs

Keelabs is going to conduct an interactive session on Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs): What Your Organization Needs to Know. A donor-advised fund is a charitable giving vehicle established through an up-front donation by a donor – such as an individual philanthropist or family – to an independent organization, typically a foundation or operating charity. While the donor advises on how funds are distributed, all administrative, operating, and governance matters are managed by the independent organization.

The rise of donor-advised funds (DAFs) in recent years has been undeniable, but data about these funds, and practical resources for charities looking to maximize their potential, has been sorely lacking. In this free webinar, join Celeste Bannon Waterman, Partner at KCI, as she presents key findings from this report including the basic elements of donor-advised funds, current regulatory frameworks, and the estimated size of this growing pool of funds in Canada. This session will also bring a particular focus to understanding the motivations and interests of donors who use DAFs, and how fundraisers and nonprofit leaders can enhance their practices and approaches to attract and retain these highly motivated and philanthropic donors.
